Global Entrepreneurship Week 2012 in Montreal
Twenty One Toys had the opportunity to speak at Dawson College in November. Coinciding with Global Entrepreneurship Week, Entrepreneurship Week (Eweek) was hosted by Dawson College’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education and was an intense four-day long camp for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The Eweek Speaker Series featured our founder Ilana Ben-Ari was on a Panel Discussion on Social Purpose Business along with Jennifer Lonergan from Artistri Sud and Stéphane Carrier from Les Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec.
It is estimated over 15 million youngsters participated worldwide in tens of thousands of events and competition for Global Entrepreneurship Week. In Montreal, Dawson College's EWeek provided a diverse and strong line-up of speakers, networking events, contests and activities for Montrealers and Dawson College students alike. Many young students had their first glimpse of a possible alternative future for themselves, others had connections with aspiring entrepreneurs, and many heard inspiring stories of successful photographers, illustrators, designers, music producers and programmers who launched their own businesses. Twenty One Toys enjoyed speaking to the students and sharing the stage with several other innovative entrepreneurs, along with former astronaut, MP Marc Garneau.
